Playland is bringing it this year!

The Dragon Coaster is back after a full renovation and running strong. The Whip, Ye Olde Mill, Doubleshot, Kiddieland, all the favorites are open all summer. Food options all around the park too.

Every Friday through September 4th, they’re doing free fireworks at 9pm right over the water.

Cross County Center isn't just a shopping center, it's basically Yonkers' childhood on one big parking lot. Some of us were born right there (yes, the hospital used to sit on that same spot), lost our minds in the Dragons Den, and got dragged to Kid-O-Robics every Saturday morning whether we liked it or not.

And now? It's about to level up big time.

58,000 square feet of new retail just broke ground on the north lot, including a flagship building for a major national retailer. Plus new underground parking (still free, always will be) and a stunning 4-acre park with a boardwalk, green space, and room for farmers markets and Summer Fest energy all year round. Mayor Mike Spano was out there for the groundbreaking, celebrating right where so many of us grew up.

First opened in 1954 as the nation's first open-air shopping center. 14 million visitors a year and still going strong. Cross County Center isn't just surviving, it's thriving.
