Service Pequannock C.A.R.E.S. is an acronym for Community, Action, Resource, Education and Service.

C.A.R.E.S is a newly formed 501c(4) Community-based organization dedicated to developing and fostering an active relationship between Pequannock residents, parents, young adults, seniors, local businesses and groups. We believe there is merit in traditional values and will work to promote and preserve what makes Pequannock a unique and great place to live. Vision:
- To inspire charitable work and

a renewed support for local businesses and organizations between the Community across all age groups.
- To inspire new, engaging and unique Community events across all age groups and interests.
- To engage parents and community members to become active on both town and school district committees, ensuring voices in our community are heard. To expand on the Vision, Pequannock is both a unique and wonderful place to live, and because of this the Community always pulls together to help when there is a need and are highly engaged. Unfortunately, the last 2 years local businesses and fixtures within the Community have struggled. An example is the effect of covid on the American Legion that nearly closed their doors. The Board’s intent is to bring back lost events as well as create new and exciting ways to support the Community, local businesses/groups and engage people of all ages. Monthly meetings will be posted & are held at American Legion Post 450.

The deadline for the Kids Color Run has been extended to Wednesday at 6pm. As of now, most registered fall into the Kinder Age group, let’s see what tomorrow will bring! We want to be sure that you have the opportunity to get these “littles” in if you still wish to register but need to finalize heat times before the end of the week!

Registrants should have received an email with T-Shirt and Bib pick up time and location, along with a waiver to be signed (thank you for the waiver assistance, Mr. McBride!). Please keep your eyes on your email for additional information regarding heat times and details for that day.

This event will support the Student Council and their effort to raise money for Autism New Jersey. We thank them for allowing the “littles” that cannot participate in an actual 5k to be a part of their day as well!

We hope to make it an annual Spring event, until the “littles” are one day a part of the PTHS Student Council, and the current PTHS members are the alumni! See you Saturday, and pray for some warmer weather, sunshine, and hydration! 💪🏽

Kick off & events will be held at the Pequannock Township High School Track & Field at 9am, registration is at 8am sharp and includes t-shirt, live music & give aways.

Hey Pequannock! Posting on behalf of Mr. McBride, PTHS Supervisor for the 5K.

What: A 5k Walk/Run
What for: Support Pequannock Township High School Student Council and Autism Family Services New Jersey.
When: Race will start at 9am. Please arrive at 8:15am to sign in.

The race will start at Pequannock Township High School parking lot & back. Permission slip and money will be due by March 27th.
Route: Pequannock Township High school 85 Sunset Road to Boulevard to Mandeville Ave to West Parkway and then to Pequannock Township High School 85 Sunset Road.
All runners must be advised that the roads will remain OPEN during the race so they need to be made aware to please stay to the right of the road and be aware of their surroundings.
**Warning: Clothes will get color on them. We are not liable for ruining your clothing.**

***Please check out Pequannock CARES page for music and events on the field for participants under 14 years of age. ***
