Mason County Prevention Coalition Our Mission
We serve all children and their families. This meeting is open to the public.

We define “Family” as people who work together and take the responsibility for and care for one another by protecting, nurturing, supporting, and educating. The Mason County Anti-Drug Coalition is funded by a Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant of the WVDHHR Bureau of Behavioral Health. Prevention of drug use, including alcohol and drug use are centered around utilizing environmen

tal strategies, social marketing and educational programs to address underage drinking and prescription drug misuse and abuse. The coalition is made up of volunteers in the community that represent health, law, education, community leaders, faith based centers, youth, parents, mental health and public health. The Mason County Anti-Drug Coalition meets monthly on the second Tuesday of each month at 4:00 pm at the Courthouse Annex Auditorium. Each meeting provides an educational component as well as planning for community events in the area of prevention.

Good evening 😊. I recently became certified in the Smart Recovery Program. So if anyone would be interested in a support group for any kind of addiction please let me know. Also I help with the homeless in Mason County. If anyone would be interested in helping please let me know and I can set up a meeting for everyone to get together and see what we can do to help. The Prevention Coalition does not judge or look down on people for any reasons….. with that being said…. I ask for only positive comments under this post. Please be kind and respectful 😊.
