Maybe she’s more anxious than she used to be.
Maybe she’s exhausted but can’t sleep.
Maybe she walks into rooms and forgets why she’s there, suddenly hates everyone for chewing too loudly, wakes up at 3 a.m. contemplating every decision she’s made since 1997, or wonders why the body she’s lived in for decades suddenly seems to have its own agenda.
And maybe nobody has ever told her this:
It could be perimenopause. Perimenopause can begin years before your final period, and the changes aren’t limited to hot flashes.
So send this to the woman who keeps saying she doesn’t feel like herself. She might need information. She might need a conversation with her healthcare provider. Or she might simply need to know she isn’t the only woman Googling “Why am I suddenly so angry?” at 3:17 in the morning.
That counts, too. ❤️
Follow My Menopause Health. We talk about the stuff women should’ve been told years ago.
