This prestigious recognition highlights his outstanding leadership, innovation, and impactful contributions both inside and beyond the classroom.

Hashier’s journey stands out for his patented engineering innovation, where he designed a variable-geometry alternating internal combustion engine from first principles—taking it through prototype development and USPTO examination and grant. His work reflects true problem-solving at the frontier of engineering.

In addition to his patent achievement, he has made significant contributions to the academic and professional community through:
• First-author research presentations at the ASEM International Annual Conference
• Co-authorship in IEEE Transactions on Semiconductor Manufacturing
• Active participation in global and internal research conferences
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification, strengthening his expertise in quality and process improvement

Currently pursuing a Master of Engineering Management (MEM), Hashier exemplifies how innovation, research, and leadership come together to create real-world impact.

We are proud to congratulate Laiba Unar on sharing her inspiring journey after completing the Master of Engineering Management program at St. Cloud State University.

Her academic journey included multiple process improvement projects and a capstone focused on implementing a cost accounting framework across multi-facility operations based on real industry work.
