🖤✨ Celebrating Black History Month at Our Center ✨🖤
This month, our classrooms came together to honor and celebrate the lives, courage, brilliance, and achievements of influential African American trailblazers. Each class selected a remarkable figure to learn about and created a special art project to represent their legacy. Our Black History Wall is now proudly shining with their hard work, creativity, and heart!
🌟 Booker T. Washington
Our students learned about leadership, education, and perseverance through the life of Booker T. Washington. They explored how education can empower individuals and communities, and created thoughtful artwork inspired by his dedication to learning and growth.
🌿 George Washington Carver
Through hands-on creativity, our children discovered how George Washington Carver used science and innovation to help farmers and improve agriculture. Their projects beautifully reflected nature, plants, and the importance of using our gifts to help others.
🚀 Mae Jemison
Our young learners were over the moon exploring space and dreaming big while learning about Mae Jemison, the first Black woman in space. Their artwork was filled with rockets, stars, and limitless imagination as they learned that no dream is too big!
❤️ Ruby Bridges
The children learned about bravery, kindness, and standing strong in the face of challenges through Ruby Bridges’ story. Their art projects reflected unity, friendship, and the importance of treating everyone with love and respect.
✈️ Bessie Coleman
Our classrooms soared high while learning about Bessie Coleman, the first Black woman to earn a pilot’s license. The children had so much fun creating airplanes and learning about determination, courage, and reaching for the sky!
⚾ Jackie Robinson
Our little learners stepped up to the plate while discovering how Jackie Robinson broke barriers in baseball with strength and grace. Their projects celebrated teamwork, fairness, and perseverance.
We are so incredibly proud of our students and teachers for the love, effort, and enthusiasm poured into every lesson and art piece. 💛
Black History Month at our center has been filled with meaningful discussions, creativity, curiosity, and joy. Our children had an amazing time learning about these inspiring individuals- asking thoughtful questions, making connections, and expressing their understanding through art.
Our Black History Wall stands as a beautiful reminder that history is powerful, representation matters, and even our youngest learners can appreciate the courage and accomplishments of those who paved the way. 🖤✨
