Vicki Losson - Author

Vicki Losson - Author I write small-town football romances set in Tundra Town - where NFL stars, strong women, family drama, and happily-ever-afters collide.

You'll usually find me surrounded by family, chocolate, and the fictional characters living rent-free in my head.

☕ Coffee with Vicki

One thing I've learned after writing and editing books...

Writing is creating the adventure.

Editing is making sure the adventure actually makes sense.

And somehow, while I was editing Book Two, we managed to run completely out of chocolate 🍫😭

I'm still not convinced that's acceptable workplace behavior. 😄

So now I'm curious...

What's the one snack you always have nearby when you're working, reading, or tackling a big project?

Romance readers, I need your opinion 🧐

Imagine every romance MMC had ONE defining green flag 💚

Which one would make you instantly fall in love with the story? 👀

❤️ He remembers the little things.

❤️ Protective without being controlling.

❤️ Falls first.

❤️ Makes her laugh.

❤️ Supports her ambitions.

❤️ Treats everyone with kindness.

For me, it's the little details.

The MMC who remembers her coffee order, notices when she's overwhelmed, or quietly takes care of something before she even asks.

Those tiny moments always feel the most romantic 🥰.

What green flag immediately makes a book boyfriend unforgettable for you?

Before The Offseason Tackle was published, the entire Tundra Town series was already taking shape.

I've always believed readers deserve stories that feel intentional—where little moments in Book One matter later in the series.

That means lots of planning... and lots of convincing fictional people to follow the plan. 😊

If you've ever wondered what it's really looks like behind the scenes of writing a romance series, ask away in the comments. I'd love to answer your questions 🤗

Hanna may be one of the most personal characters I've ever written.

Not because she's me.

But because pieces of her exist in so many women I've known.

Women who work hard.

Women who carry responsibilities without complaint.

Women who are constantly proving themselves.

Women who quietly wonder if anyone truly sees them.

Hanna's story isn't about becoming stronger.

She's already strong.

It's about learning she doesn't have to carry everything alone.

Have you ever reached a point in life where you realized you deserved more than you were settling for?

I'd love to hear your story.

One thing I've learned from writing romance:

The strongest women aren't looking for someone to save them.

They're looking for someone who respects them, supports them, and makes them feel safe enough to stop carrying everything alone.

That's the emotional heartbeat behind so many of my characters.

What's a trait that immediately makes you root for a MMC?
