It was a hard week to stay connected. I felt so dispirated every time I picked up my phone and saw yet another piece of devastating news, and yet I felt a pull toward checking in on the people I love, seeing their faces if only through a screen, saying hello and I'm thinking of you and trying my best to maintain connections that are more precious now than ever. This morning's tarot card from the Sacred She deck spoke deeply to me and I felt compelled, once again, to share it. Ma Deva Padma writes "There is a very strong possibility that we will get many chances in the coming times to test our mettle, our swords, and our hearts' capacity to stay open in the face of hardship, suffering, and the challenge of living in "interesting times"."
