DVC Finance Club

Just a reminder that elections are being today at 5:00 pm for the following positions:

- ICC Rep
- Secretary

All candidates must:
• Register as official member of DVC Finance Club.
• Present a maximum of 3 minutes speech on why we should pick you.
• Formal attire is recommended.

A description of the positions:

Inter-Club Council Representative
- Attends all Inter-Club Council meetings (every Thursday 3.30-5pm) to represent the club and votes on behalf of the club.
- Maintains a professional image when carrying the club’s name.
- Reports the results of Inter-Club Council meetings to the President.
- Able to attend both General Meeting (Tuesdays 4:30pm – 5:30pm) and Executive Meeting (Tuesdays 5:30pm – end).

Secretary
-Keeps accurate minutes of all meetings and sends minutes to ICC.
-Works with the webmaster to develop a membership database and then enters all member information into that database.

Come to our last general meeting tomorrow! We will announce the winners of DVC Virtual Stock Market Competition Spring 2013 and DVC Finance Club new Executive Board!

Secretary

-Works with the webmaster to develop a membership database and then enters all member information into that database.

Inter-Club Council Representatives
-Attend all Inter-Club Council meetings to represent the club and votes on behalf of the club.
-Must maintain a professional image when carrying the club’s name.
-Inter-Club Council Representatives report the results of Inter-Club Council meetings to Executive Board.

Public Relations Officer
-Working together with Marketing Chair, publicizes all club programs through flyers, overheads, and tabling.
-Welcomes and guides new members.

Marketing Chair
-Organize marketing activities, including club promotion and fundraising sales.
-Creates advertising media and distributes the advertisement on campus.

Webmaster
-Updates the Finance Club page in a timely fashion for convenient usage.
-Maintains the club’s email list
-Works with other Executive Board members to create necessary databases for member information, company contacts and speakers, etc.
-Takes pictures during meetings or events and uploads pictures online.

President
-Primary visionary
-the Chairman of the Finance Club Executive Board
-Runs all Executive Board and general member meetings.
-Official spokesperson for the club
-Oversees successful ex*****on of all of the club’s activities.


Vice President of Internal Affairs
-Assumes the duties of President in his/her absence.
-Organizes at least one field trip each semester.
-Acts as publicity chair and promotes the club through organizing on campus activities

Vice President of External Affairs
-Responsible for all company and speaker recruitment.
-Researches Finance and other related companies/divisions and contacts these companies to be guest speakers
-The bridge between the club and the speakers and taking any company requests

Vice President of Finance
-Responsible for all club income and expenses, including collection of dues and club operating expenses.
-Draws up a budget for the year and maintains coherence to the budget.
-Takes care of the club’s checking account and make financial reports.
-Prepare budget request and present it to ASDVC or ICC deemed necessary.
