This year, our Culinary Arts and Plant & Landscape Management students have the incredible opportunity to travel from America to Italy for an immersive educational experience that brings learning to life beyond the classroom.
To help make this dream possible, we are launching our:
Sponsoring a Mile Fundraiser
The journey from the United States to Italy is 4360 miles long — and we are asking our community, families, businesses, and supporters to help sponsor the trip one mile at a time!
How It Works:
🚍 Sponsor 1 mile, 10 miles, 100 miles, 1,000 miles — or any distance you choose at $8 a mile.
🌱 Every contribution helps students get closer to experiencing hands-on international learning opportunities like:
🍝 Authentic Italian culinary traditions, cooking classes, staying and working a family farm called an agriturismo providing a true slow food farm-to-table experience
🫒 Olive oil, cheese, balsamic vinegar, and prosciutto production tours
🌿 Historic Italian gardens, agriculture, and landscape design
🏛 Cities including Rome, Assisi, Bologna, and more
🌍 Real-world career inspiration and global education opportunities
This educational experience will allow students to connect their classroom skills to international industries, cultures, sustainability practices, and traditions.

A vegetarian masterpiece created by the CPI Culinary Arts Culinarians for the CPI Annual Signing Night Banquet.

Israeli Cous Cous and Harissa Carrots

Flavorful, and light combination of roasted vegetables, fire roasted peppers, artichoke hearts, crispy fried chickpeas, feta cheese, olives, Mediterranean herbs, lemon zest, finished with extra virgin olive oil, garnished with dehydrated lemon slices.

Topped with tender carrots with a fiery, smoky, and tangy North African chili paste and toasted pine nuts.

The CPI Culinary Arts program has an extended educational experience for our culinarians. We are taking our culinarians to Italy for an immersive educational opportunity. This is our page dedicated to our travel abroad excursions, food adventures, and cultural experiences.

We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who participated in helping raise money to send a group of hard-working CPI students on a study abroad trip to Italy. Where they will extend their educational opportunities learning more about their chosen crafts. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! If you cannot see in the picture at one point or another, I observed everybody singing along with the music, swaying, and even some of our participants broke out in dancing! What a fun evening!!!! Again THANK YOU!!!
