Yesterday we made a trip down to Rolla, Missouri, to check out some mum trials for Ball Seed!
We were mainly looking for some new red and white varieties that we might want to add to our growing program next year. We look for mums that have a nice round shape, good longevity, and are soft enough to handle being sleeved for shipping and delivered to our fundraising groups.
There’s a lot more to picking out mum varieties than just finding the prettiest ones!
We just finished up our 2026 season, but we’re already working on making 2027 even better!
