October 7, 2026 Weather Statement
As a precautionary measure, we are preparing early for the forecasted threat of a tropical weather event which may bring severe weather and heavy rainfall on Friday, October 9, 2026. Although the latest forecast indicates a shift more toward the East, the forecast remains uncertain. In the event of a school closure, you will be notified through our communication system, the school website, social media, and the news channels. Also, in the event of a school closure, IPSB will implement the short-term modified operations of the District’s Continuous Learning Plan. Details on the Continuous Learning Plan will be sent in a later message in the event of a closure. The Continuous Learning Plan is also posted on our website.
We are monitoring the forecast closely and will inform you of details regarding a school closure once the decision is made.
