Time to recognize our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade Triathlon recipients! We are so proud of these Stallions for going above and beyond by participating in activities outside the classroom and tapping into their creativity, talents, and interests. Your hard work, dedication, and involvement truly shine. Keep up the great work, Stallions!

Up next.... our 4th grade Triathlon recipients. These students went above and beyond through participating in Reflections, the musical, the Spelling Bee and show much more! Way to go! We can't wait to what you all bring to 5th grade next year!

Today, we recognized a large group of fifth graders who earned our Triathlon trophies! This recognition celebrates students who participated in at least three extracurricular activities this school year such as choir, Reflections, Science Fair, and more. We are so proud of these Stallions for getting involved, trying new things, and representing Saigling so well. Way to go, Stallions! Stay tuned this week as we celebrate students from other grade levels too!

Big congratulations to our very own Karin Brown on an incredible accomplishment! 🎉

Mrs. Brown recently passed her Certified Academic Language Therapist exam and can now officially add “CALT” after her name as a Certified Academic Language Therapist! This is a HUGE achievement in the dyslexia world and reflects years of dedication, hard work, and passion for helping students succeed.

To earn this certification, she completed:
📚 2 years of intensive training
🎥 10 videoed lessons
✍️ 90 written papers
⏰ 700 hours working directly with students
📝 And then successfully passed the certification exam!

We are so proud of Mrs. Brown and the commitment she pours into supporting learners every day. Be sure to congratulate her on this amazing accomplishment! 💙💛

We had a lot of students enter PTA’s Yearbook Cover Contest this year! You can see all of the entries displayed in the school’s front foyer and front office. We have some incredibly talented students at Saigling, and we are so proud of the creativity and effort they put into their designs.

Hey Stallions-Let's Dive into Reading this summer! Check out the Plano ISD Summer Reading Challenge!

Last night, we had the honor of recognizing our Saigling Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Groen! Mrs. Groen represented Saigling with pride and professionalism. Her daily engagement with students, high expectations, love, care, and teamwork are a shining example of what Saigling is all about.

We are grateful for the positive impact she makes on our students, staff, and community each and every day. Congratulations, Mrs. Groen! Your Saigling family is so proud of you!

Visual Fine Arts at PISD is hosting a Public Art Contest. All art teachers in PISD, Elementary through High School, were given the opportunity to have their art students create a design for a sculpture. The winning design will have their artwork physically created by a metalsmith artist (12 feet tall) and will be indefinitely installed in front of the Robinson Fine Arts Center (RFAC.)

Saigling’s 5th grade student, Zelda, has been chosen as a finalist for this competition! Out of the entire district, K-12, Zelda was one of 15 students selected as a finalist.

The photos you see are her design, the maquette (mini version of the sculpture,) and an imagined image of what the sculpture could look like in front of the RFAC. We are BEYOND proud of our Saigling Stallion artist!

It was a great National Walk (and Bike!) to School Day at Saigling Elementary this morning! Our students were greeted by staff and our mascot, “Waffles,” for a fun morning walk around the park. It was wonderful seeing so many families enjoying the fresh air, building community, and starting the day together with smiles and energy!
