🎓 College Applications Don’t Have to Feel Overwhelming!

What makes a college application stand out? And what should homeschool families be doing now to prepare?

Join us at THEO for the Completing the College Application Workshop and learn how to help your student put together an application that tells the full story of who they are and what they’ve accomplished.

We’ll talk about creating a competitive transcript and professional résumé, requesting strong letters of recommendation, developing a school profile, and understanding what makes an excellent college application essay.

And you don’t have to be a senior to benefit! In fact, learning what colleges are looking for before senior year can help your student make intentional choices throughout high school.

🎨 Spirit Weeks at THEO — Let the Fun Begin!

STUCO works hard to make campus life at THEO fun, and one of our favorite ways to do that is through SPIRIT WEEKS! 🎉

We kicked things off with COLOR WARS, and while there was some pretty great competition around campus, we think it’s safe to say… Mrs. Franda understood the assignment! 😂🏆

She went ALL OUT, and we have to give her a special shout-out! Mrs. Franda not only teaches amazing classes, but she also jumps right into the fun, brings energy to our campus, and loves our students so well. ❤️

Thank you, Mrs. Franda, for reminding us that teachers can have just as much school spirit as the students — maybe even more! 😉

And students…consider the bar officially raised. We can’t wait to see what you do for the next Spirit Week!

Join us at THEO for the Building the High School Transcript Workshop and learn how to create a comprehensive transcript and résumé that accurately reflects your student’s high school experience and accomplishments.

We’ll cover important topics including recordkeeping, organization, core coursework, GPA, electives, community service, extracurricular activities, and more.

Whether your student is just beginning high school or graduation is getting closer, this is a great opportunity to make sure you know what to track, how to organize it, and what belongs on that final transcript.

The THEO Forensics Competitive Speech & Debate Team had a stellar opening to the 2026-2027 Tournament Season! Competing against 25 schools at Lebanon Trails High School in Frisco, the THEO team of Isaac Armstrong, Sopjia Bennett, Erin Bond, Michael Conover, Nathan Graham, Karis Hee, Maddie Nelson, Megan Schreck, Ryan Schreck, Amelia Shipley, and Noan Toumi brought forth excellent competition. Individual placings include:

The Public Forum Debate Team of Megan Schreck-Ryan Schreck obliterated the competition including teams from Plano West, Rockhill, and Flower Mound, to CAPTURE 1st Place!!!! This earns them 8 points towards the Texas State Championship!

Karis Hee Captured 2nd Place in Impromptu Speaking and 3rd Place in Original Oratory! (Karis's very first tournament)

Nathan Graham Captured 6th Place in Original Oratory with his impactful speech on Worldviews:)

The Public Forum Debate Team of Maddie Nelson and Amelia Shipley placed 13th overall in the event and this was their very first time competing in PFD.

I am so proud of each of these wonderful students who worked hard and always exhibited the Lord's grace. Congratulations Team!

The team is off to Lebanon Trails High school this Saturday for their first tournament of the season and then on to Prosper High School on Sept 26th. While our tournament season is just starting, our goal is the National Tournament in Phoenix, AZ in June of 2027.

THEO Forensics is about creating Christian leaders through the challenging activity of competitive speech and debate. The 2026-2027 THEO Team is off to a great start.
