“I Almost Threw Out the Baby with the Bathwater”
For years, I’ve questioned whether I should continue building CPR Taskforce.
There have been seasons when the obstacles felt bigger than the vision. Seasons when it seemed easier to walk away than to keep pushing forward. Financial challenges. Personal challenges. Moments of doubt. Moments of exhaustion.
More than once, I considered throwing out the baby with the bathwater.
But over the last few days, something became incredibly clear.
CPR Taskforce was never just about CPR.
It was never just about certification cards.
It was never just about teaching classes.
At its core, CPR Taskforce exists to make community safety education practical, accessible, affordable, and engaging for everyone.
We exist to help schools, churches, businesses, families, and communities move beyond compliance and toward true preparedness.
We exist because emergencies don’t wait for people to be ready.
We exist because confidence can save lives.
We exist because safety should not be a luxury reserved for a few.
And perhaps most importantly, we exist because people deserve to feel supported, equipped, and empowered to respond when it matters most.
As I continue to grow, learn, and refine the vision, one thing has become certain:
I’m not building a CPR company.
I’m helping build a culture of safety.
To every person who has supported CPR Taskforce, attended a class, referred a client, partnered with us, prayed for us, encouraged us, or believed in the vision when it was still taking shape—thank you.
The vision is becoming clearer.
The mission is becoming stronger.
And this is only the beginning.
