In my archaeology library - 'PAPERS ON THE PREHISTORY OF NORTHEASTERN MEXICO AND ADJACENT TEXAS' edited by Jeremiah F. Epstein, Thomas R. Hester and Carol Graves, Center for Archaeological Research, The University of Texas at San Antonio, Special report No. 9 (1980). Great book; has various articles on Lower Pecos archaeology, as well as for the adjacent regions in Mexico and other areas further to the SW in the Mexican desert. This is a difficult-to-find volume these days, and is a very good reference.

Arrow points from the Lower Rio Grande in the vicinity of Zapata, Texas, about 240 air miles SE of Shumla. This particular style has yet to be classified; this form occurs only infrequently on sites in the region. The point at center and the one at right in photo were found on the same site. This style of arrow point, which almost certainly dates to the Late Prehistoric Period, does not occur at Shumla or in the Lower Pecos.
