This summer has been so busy! Reorganized the Quilt room! Several days and several new plans and finally the quilt room is how I want it! Got this lovely done and it is ready for its dog.

Meadow Mist Designs

So far this year the new year resolution has been renovating. The sewing room has not been touched thankfully. However any room you renovate seems to always bleed over to another room in terms of moving stuff, cleaning, rearranging, redesigning, etc. It has been fun but i am ready for everything to go back to it's original home and the new stuff to find a new home! Does anyone else just dread the minor home repairs because you always know there will be a well since we did ____ should we do ____.

My family is the why behind Owl Quilt It. I grew up sewing and piecing fabric. I made quilts for teachers in Elementary school. Today the women of the family have our own shop hops, quilt retreats, and trips. Now I have 2 young daughters who are surrounded by loving warm quilts for the holidays! That moment that the kid asks for a picnic on a light windy day and it is just a bit chilly. But of course you say yes and have a lunch time picnic.

Take time to enjoy the good stuff even if it leaves you sitting on a quilt in almost mud and chilled. The giggles are worth the adventure!

Every year fall comes and my madness kicks in to finish all I had planned that I wanted to finish for Christmas; some is still left from last years to do list.

Then as the fall fades and Christmas comes I am always reminded the spirit is not to have all the homemade gifts and decorations done but it’s the season for loving and giving.

This week the season of giving is starting early. My community has some struggling students in terms of homes and food. Now time to get creative on how to give food to someone and then not think it is a hand out!

I know we are still far from Christmas and I am definitely not ready to see Christmas on the shelves but I am ready for giving. Happy Fall and start the giving early we all need something!

80 degrees and the leaves are already falling. My favorite part of fall is the loud stadium speakers, marching bands and the sounds of the crowd watching a good game!
