Alhamdulillah, we ended the semester with HST 201 at IACC and AQD 101 at IAA both taught by Imam ARB, along with a morning walk today where Shaykh Chad shared some reflection points and the virtues of the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah.

These classes created immersive experiences to allow students to understand the teachings of Islam by creating spaces to connect, reflect, and truly experience the beauty of Islam together.

Alḥamdulillāh for a powerful and much-needed gathering 🤍

Over the past two days, we came together as a community to begin a conversation that many of us avoid, but all of us will face.

Death is the only certainty in life.
We don’t know when it will come… but we are responsible for how we prepare for it , for ourselves and for those we love.

This workshop brought together a truly unique and necessary perspective:

🕌 Islamic ethics and Fiqh
🏥 Medical realities
🤝 Chaplaincy and spiritual care
🌍 Community support

All in one space.

Deep gratitude to our incredible speakers and panelists for their knowledge, vulnerability, and presence and to Mosaic Healthcare for bringing real clinical insight and resources to our community.

A special thank you to Initiative on Islam and Medicine for inspiring and shaping this work, and to every single community member who showed up ready to learn, reflect, and engage.

From the resources table to the Sunnah healing foods we shared…every detail was intentional in creating a space of reflection, care, and connection.

This was not about having all the answers.

This was about starting the conversation.

And in shā’ Allāh…we will continue it.

May Allah Allow us to prepare with intention,
support our families with clarity,
and return to Him in a state that is pleasing to Him.

Āmīn.

✨ Meet the Speakers

We’ve brought together a powerful lineup of scholars, physicians, chaplains, and community leaders — all in one space — to guide this much-needed conversation.

From fiqh and Islamic ethics to real hospital experiences and medical realities, each speaker brings a unique lens to help you understand:

• What end-of-life care actually looks like
• How Islam guides these decisions
• What families face in real moments of crisis
• How to prepare with clarity, dignity, and faith

💭 This is more than knowledge — it’s guidance for some of the most important decisions we will ever make.
