Nothing beats an afternoon at the grill for a great cause! The Patriot Dads had an incredible time serving up fresh burgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers for the hardworking teachers at Shepard Elementary School. 🍔🔥

📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE: Patriot Dads Tailgate Canceled 📢

​Due to the high probability of inclement weather and an already packed end-of-year school calendar, the Patriot Dads Tailgate scheduled for May 1st is canceled.

​Unfortunately, we are unable to reschedule this spring, but we are already looking forward to a great kickoff event in the Fall! Thank you for your understanding and for supporting the Patriot Dads and Shepard PTA. We’ll see you next school year! 🦅❤️

It’s time to show those school spirit skills on the field! 🚜 Our first-ever Patriot Dads Tailgate is happening on FRIDAY, MAY 1ST, from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at Shepard Elementary!!!!

We are taking over the grounds with:
🍔 Food
🎲 All your favorite college tailgate yard games (bring the friendly competition!)
🎧 And... the return of the SILENT DISCO! Let your kids know they won’t want to miss this option.

This event is open to all dads, granddads, guardians, uncles, and father figures — if you play a positive male role in a Shepard student’s life, this morning is for you.

Good Morning Patriot Dads!

Due to this week’s inclement weather and school closures, we’ve made the decision to POSTPONE Donuts with Dads, originally scheduled for this Thursday.

With teachers and staff unable to be in the building most of the week, we felt it wouldn’t be fair (or smooth) to host a large event on the first full day back when the priority needs to be getting our kids back into their routines.

👉 The good news:
🍩 Donuts with Dads IS still happening!
📅 We’re already working on a new date and will share details as soon as it’s finalized.

Thank you all for your understanding, flexibility, and continued support of this awesome group. Please help us spread the word by sharing this post.

🔥 PATRIOT DADS IN ACTION! 🔥

Leadership wants to take a moment to brag on something truly special… Shepard Elementary School doesn’t just have a great Dads group — we’re convinced we have the best in the state.

At Friday’s PTA meeting, we learned that the microwaves in the teachers’ lounge had finally aged out and had to be thrown away. The administration asked if the community could help replace them so our amazing staff could keep things running smoothly.

By that morning, Patriot Dads sent out the call on Discord — and like they always do, our dads showed up!

Not only did a wonderful Shepard family step forward to donate a brand-new microwave, but we also heard that our incredible school nurse needed a countertop ice maker so she wouldn’t have to haul ice across campus every day.

Within HOURS, Patriot Dads rallied together and raised hundreds of dollars to make it all happen.
Two microwaves? ✔️
Ice maker for our nurse? ✔️
A stronger, more supported school community? ✔️✔️✔️

THIS is what Patriot Dads is all about!!!

When Shepard Elementary needs something — big or small — this group jumps into action and makes it happen. We’re proud to support our teachers, staff, students, and families in real, meaningful ways.
