Toured the beautiful Evergreen Loyola University Maryland campus in May. Catholic Jesuit focused liberal arts school with 3,987 undergraduates. 75% acceptance rate, Class size of 20, 12:1 faculty student ratio. 64% out of state students, 90% retention rate. Most students live on campus all four years. Over 60% study abroad! Beautiful campus in safe environment. Outstanding Messina Program includes seminars, mentors, housing, orientation. Strong nursing program, new construction management, environmental science, and forensic accounting programs. Unique real estate development program. Small school, big spirit! Global citizenship focus on travel, intentional affordability with stackable scholarships. Several five year programs grad school. Strong LGBTQ and career support , 20% of student body participates in Athletics. Excellent honors program with huge perks! Fun Battle of Charles Street lacrosse game against John's Hopkins. Genuine connections with professors, Loyola Palooza event, Medieval Renaissance theater productions, and popular Acapella concert every year. Easy access to Wash DC, student discounts for Baltimore activities. Test optional, foreign lang requirements.

Enjoyed Johns Hopkins University tour in Baltimore in May! 6,356 undergrads, 6:1 Faculty:Student ratio, avg class size 23, impressive new Student Center, new Data Science Center, STEM and research powerhouse but also looking for International Relations, History, and Creative Writing majors! 85% of students are from out of state 98% retention rate. Stong Study Abroad and Honors programs, all students live on campus first two years. First year seminar with 12 students/class. Several 5year grad degrees. Ambitious and driven students in collaborative environment, even in premed! Div I Lacrosse, Div III Football. Fun Hoptoberfest, Blue Jay Day, and Paint the Bird traditions. Club that funds EMT training! Great local opportunities in Baltimore for students, Orielle and Raven games, train to DC, internships. Lots of online app webinars!

CONGRATS!! to Ellie A. on becoming a Beaver!! She's headed to Oregon State to study Kinesiology and Childhood Development on her way to a goal of becoming a Pediatric Physical Therapist! This super star will absolutely make it happen! Proud of all her work to reach the first of many goals!
