"Many parents hope their child will have meaningful opportunities to learn alongside peers and participate fully in school life. Inclusion matters, but simply being present in a setting is not enough if your child does not have the support needed to participate, learn, and belong.
As you talk with the team about placement, it can be helpful to ask what your child's day will actually look like there. The conversation should include not only where your child will learn, but also how the environment will support their individual needs.
π Access becomes meaningful when a child has both the opportunity to participate and the support to succeed.
