Berkshire Workforce Board - MassHire The BWB also charters and oversees MassHire Berkshire Career Center which assists the 32 Berkshire County communities.

Our mission is to develop partnerships, generate resources, and advocate for workforce solutions that result in a skilled workforce, prospering businesses, and equitable access to meaningful career pathways and quality employment for residents and youth! The Berkshire Workforce Board has the broad role of addressing critical labor market issues and developing strategic partnerships with local leaders in economic development, the K-12 and higher education system, government agencies, chambers of commerce, community-based and labor organizations.

Hey, Berkshire County manufacturing companies! Build your team, grow your business, & strengthen the Berkshires by participating in our MassHire Berkshire On-the-Job Training (OJT) program.

Through a MassTech grant in collaboration with the MassHire Hampden Workforce Board, we are able to provide $2,500 toward hiring/training a long-term Berkshire County resident to area manufacturing companies. OJTs are limited, so please reach out today!

BCC's no cost programs offer 3 levels of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) instruction designed to assist non-native English speakers assimilate into the community, and support them in reaching their academic and career goals. Classes focus on English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Critical thinking, digital literacy, civics, and navigating system skills are also integrated throughout the curriculum.
