There is something special about the moment right before everyone find their seats and the games begin. Yesterday did not disappoint!

I had the best time teaching Mahjong? to this incredible family, even the dog wanted it in on the action.

this is exactly why I love what I do. There is something really special about bringing a new game to a family table. The lights, the lightbulb moments, and yes, the victory photo when someone calls Mahjong for the first time.

Honestly, this is one of the questions I get asked most.
And the answer is: it depends!

For beginners and social groups, I generally say plan for 30 to 45 minutes per game. And we all know that when the social group really gets to socializing...it might take a little longer. No judgment whatsoever. 😉

The important thing? Don't stress about being a slow player, especially when you're learning. Speed comes naturally with time and practice. Focus on understanding the game and having fun at the table, and the rest takes care of itself.
