Heinz Program for Women in Global Leadership is a transformational leadership and civic engagement development program that aims to empower students to have global mindsets and the tools to shine as the leaders of tomorrow. Awardees embark on a yearlong learning journey that includes a summer study abroad experience and funding of at least $5,000 from The Heinz Endowments. VIH is an opportunity fo

r female identifying students with a 3.0 GPA in sophomore or junior status who would be first time international travelers (aside from a few outlined exceptions).

Calling VIH Alumni! We are offering an optional event for 2026 Viras over the weekend of April 11 and 12, and would like to include some Pittsburgh-based alumni to a few portions of that event.
