“Good job!” isn’t bad.. but sometimes we can give our kids something even more meaningful. ❤️

Instead of praising the outcome, let’s notice their effort, persistence, problem-solving, kindness, and growth.

Because we’re not raising kids who need to be perfect.. we’re raising kids who know they’re capable of figuring things out, trying again, and being proud of who they’re becoming.

Save this for the next time you’re tempted to say “good job.” 🫶

Kids notice more than we realize.. and often the small things we don’t think twice about. 🧠 💭

How we talk to ourselves.
How we handle stress.
How we treat others.
How we respond when things go wrong.

They’re learning from what we do just as much as what we say.

Not perfectly. Just honestly, in everyday moments.

And that’s where so much of their understanding of the world comes from. 💞

This book is based on a true story: in 1975, a young boy and his mother go to see Muhammad Ali speak at a local high school, but the security won't let them in bc the boy is not a student there. Ali happens to walk past, and lets them in.
Such an amazing experience!
