Come learn how Dolby Atmos actually works at Tech25, September 3rd and 4th! 🎧✨ Carnegie Mellon University Professor Stewart Blackwood is coming to teach everything you need to know about Spatial and Immersive Audio. Sign up link in bio ⬆️

Over two hands on days, you’ll dive into directional cues, time delay and phase relationships, binaural mixing, and the Dolby Atmos Renderer 🎛️🔊. Learn how we localize sound, build headphone based spatial audio, and start exploring spatial audio over loudspeakers.

Day two levels up into multichannel production 🎚️. You’ll upmix your binaural Dolby piece to a full speaker system, unpack the algorithms behind spatial audio, and wrap with an intro to ambisonic recording for capturing and reproducing real world sound environments 🌐🎙️.

We’ll cover both commercial tools and free/low-cost alternatives, so you leave with a real toolset (not just theory) for creating your own immersive audio experiences 🚀

If you’re wrapping extension cords, xlrs, powercon, Ethernet, dmx, or any other cables this is definitely our preferred method.
