🌟 Third Grade Transition Night at Jefferson Hills Intermediate School! 🌟

JHIS was excited to welcome our incoming third-grade students and their families for Third Grade Transition Night! Dr. McCauley and Mr. Sendro welcomed everyone, while our fifth-grade leadership team helped guide students to their new homerooms.

Students had the opportunity to meet their teachers, explore the building, and begin learning their way around their new school.

A special thank you to our PTA for helping make the evening even more memorable by providing the Brews Traveler and Have An Ice Day food trucks along with a bake sale! The PTA also collected donations of much-needed classroom supplies, including Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer, tissues, and pencils.

We loved seeing so many smiling faces and look forward to an exciting school year ahead. Welcome to JHIS, third graders! 🖤💛

WJHSD kicked off the 2026-27 school year by welcoming back our incredible staff! Opening Day featured performances by the TJ Marching Band, Color Guard, Majorettes, Cheerleaders and Choirs, along with some of our youngest Jaguars for the National Anthem.

We also welcomed our new staff members and celebrated educators reaching the milestone of 25 years of service to WJHSD.

Dr. Janet Sardon and Dr. William Henderson led the day with an inspiring message as we look forward to another great year of learning, growth and Jaguar pride!
