On Friday, Alumnus and Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army, Dr. Greg Hare, GP'10, spoke with American Pharmacists Association chapter leaders, students, and faculty during his Campus Outreach Visit on behalf of the American Pharmacists Association. Dr. Hare is the APhA Executive Fellow and presented on the many benefits APhA membership provides students and pharmacists. Dr. Hare also shared highlights from his career, offering students insights into how pharmacists care for active military personnel and veterans.

Our faculty is extremely excited to welcome David Dausey, Ph.D., Ed.D. as the 14th President of Duquesne University after his inauguration ceremony last week!

Dr. Dausey was named Duquesne’s president after a highly successful tenure as provost, during which he helped steer the University through a period of transformative change. Across his eight years as provost, Dr. Dausey founded and advanced new schools, departments, institutes and programs, and was instrumental in fundraising for new facilities and initiatives across the university.

Congratulations, President Dausey, and we wish you all the success in this critical role!

Let's celebrate 's 2026 Faculty and Staff Award winners!

Mrs. Amy Hagan, Senior Student Success Coach and Student Services Coordinator, is our Staff Award winner for her immense dedication to serve our students and for her innovative ideas to bring the entire School of Pharmacy together for various events!

Dr. Samuel Sprowls, Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, is one of our Faculty Award winners for his creative and engaging ways of explaining complex concepts to students at simple levels!

Dr. Kurt Wolfgang, Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, is also a Faculty Award winner for his innovative approach to applying real-life patient case scenarios to didactic content!

Dr. Paula Witt-Enderby, Professor of Pharmacology, is our Dean's Award winner for her efforts on aligning the curriculum for the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences with trends in the pharmacy industry!

On Saturday, over 100 students volunteered and came together to support the Pittsburgh Recovery Walk.

Duquesne helped with event central, registration, traffic and parking, held signs along with parade route with words of inspiration, recovery and hope, event clean-up, and more!

Seeing the Pittsburgh community come together to celebrate the roads to recovery from addiction and all those who travel them is truly inspiring and a great example of our students living the mission of Duquesne!
