This is a great idea to work on reading!
Names are so powerful! This is the time of year that I really up the game for some of my new-to-reading artic students. We know they are more likely to have spelling and reading challenges so I provide extra sight word practice, but I also give them SUCCESS. These artic sentences have:
✅ their name which they can already read and gives them ownership of the task
✅ a target word with a pic prompt
✅ sight word “is”
✅ color coded color words
It’s something they are EAGER to share with a parent or teacher. And once you have a list, you can use your “find, replace” tool to quickly customize!
