This was written by Mr McCawley:
I would like to take this opportunity to Thank the Cowanesque Valley Alumni Group for the Honored Educator Award presented to me last evening. This honor will rank right up at the top of highlights of my career. I know a lot of work went into it and it was appreciated. I enjoyed sharing it with my family for they mean the world to me. The cake was a super surprise. Getting to visit with so many alumni, having had so many as students, was another treat. I came here to work and coach at CV never realizing how great the students, parents, staff and people of the area were. I certainly found out. I went to work daily with a smile on my face. The valley was also a beautiful place to raise my five children. I am sure you know and have witnessed that my wife and children mean the world to me. I only wished as I said last night that my Dad and Mom could have seen what I did with my life and their hopes for me were fulfilled.
It is a known fact that my love for CV is shown and announced by me always. I have loved the ride and I also strongly “Love” all the staff and students who went along with me for the ride. I truly love you all. Thank you for all the love you have shown right back.

All I can say is ......WOW!!! Another awesome CV Alumni banquet is in the books! It was really great seeing everyone. We only had 4 no shows which, is good compared to the reservations we had. I encourage you to enjoy all the pictures of the evening and comment if you'd like.
Our last meeting of the year will be on June 8th @ 1:00 PM with election of officers. At this time, I'd like to invite YOU to come and help serve on your alumni committee. We can always use more hands.
Still would LOVE to have someone be a "Scrapbooker" and redo what we already have in photo albums from days of old and now with the newer pictures.
Something I never knew.......my dad, Vernard Watkins was actually the Vice President of the CVAA back in the early '60's and I knew his brother, Uncle Leslie Watkins, was a Committee head for several years.
Seems it's been "kept in the family" of Watkins for many, many years. As well as many other awesome people who make up the "TEAM".....I definitely appreciate our team. Thank you again one and all for the roles you all do. On to 2027! We'll take a summer break, but if you have ideas for next year, lets talk!
To our guests that came...........THANK YOU!!! As I've said many times, "Without You, This Would Not Be Possible".
Have a great summer everyone!

CV class of 75,
I don’t think I’m losing my mind as yet, but I can’t remember…
Does anyone know the name of the hotel in the Adirondacks where we went for our senior class trip? Asking for a friend, HA. No prizes for the winner.
Received this message from Don Robbins ... anyone remember the hotel name?

Good rainy morning everyone. Just a little update. The scholarship winners have been chosen, congratulation letters and thank you for applying letters have been sent out. I'll post the winners names soon.
There is still time to get your reservations in for the banquet. I did a tally and the count is nearly 100! This is absolutely awesome! Still plenty of room for more. As a reminder, the educator of honor is Mr. Bill McCawley this year. So come, be blessed, and enjoy an eventful evening.
As a reminder too, the tour of the Cowanesque Valley High School is scheduled for Sunday, May 24th @ 1:00. Please let the school know if you plan to attend. (814-367-2233) office #.
The National Honor Society students will be helping out again this year and as always they are a blessing to the committee! Thank You all who help out!
On the menu this year is a YUMMY chicken and biscuit dinner with all the trimmings ....... and then some.
Note of interest........as you enter into the building, there will be a display set up by Mrs. Betsy Hale on Westfield History. I encourage you all to please be respectful and attentive as she explains her passion for the historical society and all it has to offer our area. As America celebrates 250 years of freedom, Betsy will gladly discuss the growth of Westfield with you all. Enjoy!
Please enter the banquet from the rear of the building so we don't miss anyone on the registration list. Doors open at 4:30 PM. Once again, the banquet is held at the Knoxville Community Center (gym area) dinner is 25$/adult and $15/current student. (excluding scholarship winners and two parents or guardian)
If you'd like to attend but don't have a registration form, that's is ok.....I ask that you please send a note along with your check telling who is attending and year of graduation. Our address is: CVAA PO Box 83 Knoxville, PA 16928. And if you'd like, a donation to the scholarship fund is always appreciated. Remember, without you, this would not be possible. We thank you in advance.
Just an FYI....you may want to bring along a little extra cash due to the collection we always take up for the NHS and there will be a 50/50 (still the same price....10 tickets for $5)
Please take notice of your placemats this year. As some of you know I transport Amish teachers during their school year and get to know these young ladies very well and I interact (somewhat) with some of their students. All I can say is, the students LOVED creating each placemat!! You'll also find a little yummy Amish baked treat at your seat...wink wink.....in commemoration of our 250 years of freedom in America.
There will also be a few door prizes! So ....we look forward to seeing you all soon.
God Bless you and have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!!
Linda L.
