Extending our sympathies to Koeths' family and friends.
Koeth A. Root, age 65 of Westfield passed away at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 19, 2026. Born July 24, 1960 in Wellsboro, he was the son of the late Sterry J. and Joyce A. (Parker) Root. He married Grace E. Morseman, and together they shared 41 years of marriage and raised two children. A dedicated worker, he retired from Frontier Communications after serving as a skilled telephone splicer for many years. Outside of work, Koeth was a passionate outdoorsman who found great joy in farming, hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Above all, he loved passing down his knowledge, helping and teaching his beloved grandchildren to enjoy and master all of his favorite activities. He is survived by his loving wife, Grace; children, Emily Wheaton of Knoxville and Brock Root of Westfield; grandchildren, Lily, Randy and Addisyn Wheaton; siblings, Karen Roberts, Kerry Root and Kelly Soroko and several nieces and nephews. Per Koeth’s wishes there will be no services at this time. Arrangements are in care of Kenyon Funeral Home, Westfield.
