Last month’s ELP Module 4 focused on a highly engaging DISC Leadership Workshop that explored how communication styles shape leadership dynamics and team interactions. A key takeaway was the importance of adaptability in communication as a core leadership strategy – recognizing that how leaders communicate can be just as impactful as what they communicate.

The session was delivered by our very own ELP Director, Alexis Steals – who is DISC certified. She led an interactive and engaging experience that brought these concepts to life.

We were also grateful to have Professor David Goyette from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business align his “Acting for Business” session with the DISC module, reinforcing how effective communication directly influences audience perception and engagement.

Together, these sessions highlighted a powerful insight: intentional communication strategies strengthen interpersonal dynamics and leadership attributes, which, in turn, enhance team performance and contribute to overall organizational success.

Applications for our 2027 cohort-based leadership programs are now open!

We’re also excited to share that the Emerging Leaders Program has been renamed the Excellence in Leadership Program (ELP) — a name that better reflects the caliber of leaders the program serves. While the name has evolved, the transformative experience and impactful curriculum remain the same.

Through the Excellence in Leadership Program (ELP) and the National Executive Leadership Academy (NELA), participants gain access to immersive executive education, meaningful networking opportunities, and a community committed to advancing leaders and driving impact.

ELP is designed for strong individual contributors and early- to mid-level managers, while NELA is tailored for senior-level managers and executives.

Whether you are continuing to grow as a leader or preparing for your next level of impact, our programs are designed to help you connect, develop, and lead with confidence.
