After 10 years of service, we celebrate Karen DeMichiei as she begins her retirement journey!
As a driver who worked with students across the district โ and even stepped into roles like cafeteria monitor during the challenges of COVID โ Karen created countless memories and connections along the way. From watching little kids grow into teenagers, to unforgettable field trips and summer bus prep for State Police inspections, her experiences are filled with stories, laughter, and friendships that will last a lifetime.
Known proudly as the "Queen Knucklehead," Karen brought joy, humor, and personality everywhere she went โ even making up songs along the way. The camaraderie and fun shared with coworkers made every day memorable.
As retirement begins, Karen has exciting plans ahead with invitations to visit friends in Italy, Mexico, Texas, New Mexico, Alaska, Canada, Montana, and beyond. And if adventure slows down, she may just get those beehives back up and running!
Karen said it best: โThis has truly been the hardest job I have ever loved.โ
Thank you, Karen, for the laughter, dedication, and heart you brought to our district. Wishing you endless adventures, happiness, and plenty of stories still to come! Congratulations! ๐
