Three Write from the Heart teachers and three Write from the Heart alumni met up at a wedding.... wait, there's only five of us? Hey, we do English, not math!!

Congratulations to AJ (center), an alumni AND former writing coach!! Also pictured are from left Brenna Hamming (Coach & Vendor Cordinator), Veldorah Rice (Director), AJ, and AJ's siblings Nat and Jacob (both also alumni), All three siblings used WFTH through middle and high school and had Veldorah as their teacher.

One of the best things about WFTH is the relationships we build in our classes. We don't just read each other's work. We build a community of writers and critical thinkers. And then sometimes we get to dress up and celebrate together!

Somewhere between picture books and high school essays, a lot of kids stop writing for the joy of it. The stories get replaced by five-paragraph formulas. The voice goes quiet.

We built Write from the Heart to bring it back without giving up an inch of academic rigor.

Our online classrooms are active every day. Students get detailed feedback on every assignment from an experienced writing coach (never AI), plus real peer response from other writers in the class. They're placed by ability, not by grade level, so your teen is challenged where they actually are. And the writing stays theirs. Our job is to make their voice stronger, not to replace it with ours.

Over twenty years, our students have earned 800+ Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and published their works on Amazon.
