Adult Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) cirriculums and classes for beginner through advanced students. We have one of the fullest schedule of class time in the area so that you can fit training into your schedule with three locations in the Pittsburgh area We are an official affiliate of Renzo Gracie and the area's only school affiliated with a Gracie family member. We where the areas first dedicated Brazilian jiu jitsu youth program. We have 5 different types of kids class based on age and other. We have a Muay Thai kickboxing program featuring the area's most experienced instructor. We also offer a fully equipted gym and unique group fitness classes. Our Mixed Martial Arts fight team has one of the best and most active competition records in the trip-state area. We offer both fighter training and public MMA classes. We often get together for social events such as UFC fights and other outings. We also offer self-defense courses that focus on situational awareness, weopons and other self defense necessities.

We got better at jiu jitsu this past Friday when our friend ### did a seminar on triangles. This techniques is a pure expression of jiu jitsu and Silverfox is proof of as an older and not particularly big grappler. It can be used by smaller people to defeat larger, stronger opponents. As we learned and practiced the various types of triangles (we looked at 5 catagories in the seminar) can be used for control as well as having multiple available submissions. I think everyone at the seminar internalized these core concepts and learned some triangles appropriate to their levels. The Q&A was great at the end also. It was nice to see members from all locations, many who had not seen eachother in a while. Thanks to Silver Fox Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy and everyone who attended. You are making stout better for everyone by raising the level!

Our special mma based self defense course for kids 10-14 is starting this Friday in the Strip. It runs Fridays for 6 weeks. Children will practice self-defense techniques taken from Mixed Martial arts. These techniques will be tested in limited live sparring sessions. The course will be taught by Lucas Seibert 🙂 (one of the area’s best pro mma fighters and youth instructor Stout PGH - Team Renzo Gracie ) and Warren Stout (coach to pro fighters in UFC, Belator, LFA, CFFC and other top mma organizations, as well as assistants who are experienced fighters and teachers. Children will need gloves (we have them for sale at Stout) and mouthpiece (not availabe at Stout).

Intermediate youth and adult classes + beginner aerial silks. Several brown belts, 4 blackbelts, a pro mma fighter Brittany Erika , amateur fighters, blue belts, national level jiu jitsu competitors and of course our youth students and aerialists! Our Children’s MMA Self Defense 6 Week Course for kids ages 9-14 starts Friday, October 2, 2026 at Stout PGH Strip District. Taught by Warren Stout and Lucas Seibert Lucas Seibert 🙂 , this course is designed for both beginners and students with prior experience. No experience needed. Fridays, 6:15 to 7:30 PM Strip District $120 for members before Sept. 27 $150 for non-members, or members after Sept. 27 Space is limited. A mouthpiece is required. Our competitors Alex Hudic and Erica Amoroso swept the money brackets of Veteran Bushido Brotherhood with all submissions. We also had Lucas Jones (Isaac Greeley x Stout PGH - Team Renzo Gracie ) and James Neeley compete and collect submission wins. It was a great event for a great cause. Alex with the bearskin! Warren won a gun Raffle and Isaac G. won some nice knives from sponsors of this great jiu jitsu charity event!

Belt Promotions last week. Here are a few pictures. More to come. There are some negatives that come with belts in jiu jitsu. One of the positive aspects is recognition of work, dedication, and improvement from teachers and training partners. Its a team thing and not a general award the way a competition win is for example. Durning the promotions I encouraged people to be active in the larger Stout PGH - Team Renzo Gracie team. Many people have their favorite group of training partners and times. That’s great but mix it up once or twice a month and come to a big evening class or another location. We don’t see everyone all the time and I miss seeing all of you! 📸 DKG Media
