This month we kick off "Composer of the Month" with Beethoven! In the lesson studio we will be learning at least one Beethoven piece, learning a little about his life and his place in music history.

Thanks to everyone who made yesterday's Summer Showcase so successful! We had some wonderful and laid-back performances, lots of musical games, yummy snacks, and best of all we got to hang out together! Students received their prizes for the Summer Practice Challenge. I am so very proud of all my students and I'm looking forward to a great Fall season as we kick off our "Composer of the Month" activities! If you missed out on the party, you can still get in on the fun for our Holiday Recital in a few months!!

So proud of how well our students did at the Spring 2024 recital! Please enjoy one of our shining star students, Rachel, playing Roses of May from Final Fantasy, followed by a vocal/piano of a Taylor Swift cover! Rachel had only been playing for about THREE MONTHS when she played this recital!!

As we finish the school year and head towards summer in the studio, South Hills Flute Studio is offering a SUMMER STARS PRACTICE CHALLENGE!

Using the convenient MyMusicStaff.com platform, students will be able to log their practice time conveniently, and I can view it in the teacher portal! Anyone who logs time of 3 days a week or more receives a prize at the end of the summer!!
