Tony said I did a good job prepping things for him and I'm going to hold onto that statement (compliment?) for a long time.

Y'all, he came out and helped me on his 55th wedding anniversary and is coming back to finish it up for me so I can focus on other goals.

I was able to speak to Derek's caregiver as I was walking out the door today and she said that even on Monday he was drawn to the bright colors and being able to put his hands on the walls.

Derek's room has been one of the most meaningful mural projects I've ever been commissioned. If you or someone you know would benefit from having a mural like this, please reach out to me! I would love to keep doing projects like this!

I told myself I was going to post everyday, but then life happens... I did get all of the storage for my classroom area assembled, including a really awesome bookshelf that I am more than happy to fill up!

I'm actually starting to think about what weekend my grand opening is going to be and it looks like it's going to be mid to late October!

What I didn't expect was all the emotions as I was unpacking art supplies. I can remember every person that I received a donation from and each group of students that I taught as I pulled out old projects. It has been 2 and 1/2 years since I've been able to open my studio to students and I am getting tantalizingly close to doing it again. Stay tuned.
