🍃 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🍃

Dearest friend of the wild,

There are many lessons that the spirits of the Green Elders and the land that I reside on have taught me and the one that I’ve struggled with the most is knowing when to let go and release what needs to die. (We humans have a tremendously difficult time recognizing the end of a cycle). Winter is the space where death is always close by, nipping at our nose in the cold, promising the peace of a long sleep. The Green Elders teach us this lesson as well: in their graceful release of blossoms, seeds, and leaves while seeking solace in the energies of the earth, they become dark shadows of themselves in the cold twilight.

And so, dear heart…..I must tell you that I have decided to retire Land Spirits Alchemy. It has been my absolute honor being in service to both you and the Green Elders, but my journey has now taken me on a different path. I am needing to clear the way for a new adventure and the responsibility of running this small business is something that requires me to release back to the earth. Resurrection may come in time, but for now Land Spirits Alchemy will be closed by the end of this year.

"Fumigation" is the word we use to describe the ritual act of spiritual cleansing, usually through the method of burning herbs and drawing the smoke over ourselves, blessing sacred objects or our home. In one form or another, herbal fumigation has been an act performed by many cultures as a way to cleanse, prepare, and create sacred space.

Making your own herbal smoke wands are fun and easy! I’ll show you how to create this sacred tool out of plants wild harvested from the beautifully abundant lands of Pennsylvania. We’ll go through the step-by-step process of properly binding these plants together to form your own herbal bundle, while telling you the plants' sacred stories and the history of herbal fumigation.
