Supported by the Iceland-U.S. Fulbright Commission, the prestigious award permits Dr. Palanisamy to visit Reykjavik University in Iceland, where he will conduct a 5-month long research project on detecting security vulnerabilities in Decentralized Finance (DeFi) Platforms.

Though Diana Lysova is now a SCI alumna, she acknowledges that learning doesn’t end as her professional career takes off at PNC: “I know there is so much more to learn, especially in a field like quant analysis. For anyone looking to pursue a similar career path, I would recommend statistics classes and a willingness to keep learning always.”

A recent NSF grant is bringing interdisciplinary research and innovation between SCI and the Swanson School of Engineering together.
