Thanks you to the North Hills Middle School for recognizing Finn, one of our ninja team athletes.
Finn has been on our competitive team for almost 7 years now and over that time we have seen him grow into a very strong competitor and an equally strong leader. Finn has always stepped up to welcome new athletes to the team and help them excel in their journey.
We’re so proud of you Finn and can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!

After 8 regular season qualifiers over the past 5 months, the top 32 female and 36 male athletes in the world descended on .force.ninja in Bellingham, WA for the Ninja Sport Network Season V Championship. It was quite possibly the strongest field of athletes ever assembled.
Among the field of 32 females was our very own Savannah Deschamps who came into the event seeded 26th as a result of her 8th place finish at Jungle Gym back in December.
Athletes would compete in 3 courses on the first day: A hybrid course, a speed course, and a burnout course. The top 15 athletes (combined score from the three courses) would move on to day 2. By completing 7 obstacles with only 1 retry, Savannah was sitting in 8th place. A 10th place finish on the speed course left her in an excellent position heading into the burnout course. After reaching 13 of the touch points on the burnout course, Savannah found herself in 9th place overall heading into the final day: the finals.
During the finals, athletes would face the same three courses, with slight modifications. Savannah improved on her first day performance on the hybrid course by completing the 8th obstacle which put her in a very strong 5th place. The top 12 athletes moved on to the speed course, where Savannah finished 7th which got her through to the burnout round. An incredibly strong 4th place finish on the burnout resulted in an overall 5th place finish. 5th place in the world! Simply incredible. This represents the best finish ever for a Steel City Ninja athlete at an NSC Championship!
Savannah has always been known as an excellent hybrid course runner during her time on the NSC circuit. But after this weekend, she has proven herself to be an elite all-around ninja! We don't know what the cards hold for Savannah as she heads to her first year of college; but if this was her final NSC event, what a note to end on.
Congratulations to all of the athletes who competed this weekend. A special shout-out to and for their incredible weekends!e
