Students in the brass area enjoy studying with a wide array of world-renowned experts. In addition to studying with master performers and teachers, students also have the opportunity to perform in award-winning large ensembles such as the Duquesne University Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony and Symphony Band. Welcome Andrew!
Congratulations to Andrew Taylor (Senior - BM Performance) for a successful round of graduate school auditions!
He was accepted into the MM programs at Florida State University, Indiana University, and the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and has accepted an assistantship to study with the fantastic Jim Nova at Duquesne University.

Brass Area Coordinator and Professor of Trombone Jim Nova giving an overdubbing workshop at Johnstonbaugh's Music Center over at their newest Allison Park location to a group of trombone fans! So great seeing our professors so involved in the community. Thanks to Bob Johnstonbaugh for putting on this event and for the wonderful staff there! They do amazing work, including lessons and repair!
