Signing up new students for various Fall 2012 classes and private lessons starting now - Piano Lessons by our own Katie are still open for Wed evenings, Gabriel has openings throughout the week & weekends for guitar, vocal coaching & bass, and Shawn is also available for guitar on Wed as well. Fall Classes & Cliics to be announced this week!! Guitar Intro 101 (adult classroom course) will begin Monday evenings in September!) Acoustic & Electric guitars are available for studio use or rentals!

Musical students - whether you take lessons with us or not - now forming 3 - 4 bands of varying levels and ages for our 8 week JamCamp program - each musician enrolled will be matched with similarly inclined musicians to learn a short set of songs, rehearse them at our facility for an hour a week for 8 weeks, and then perform together for friends, family and others at a well-known and professional Pittsburgh Club, with a pro stage, PA system, lighting and amps, drums, etc. - all at a very low rate, and all participants wil get a backstage pass, T-shirt, and CD of the concert! A very cool way to experience the "rock star" life for a day! All ages and levels are encouraged to apply - just drop us a line! bands will include guitar(s), bass, drums, vocalists and possibly keyboardists, so everyone check it out - we will have room for anyone interested!

Welcoming our new students this week - Katie (Piano) & myself (guitar) are still filling some slots - i have a limit of 20 students, so i am keeping my rates low until i reach that goal, so act now! Katie has openings for piano on Wed afternoon - evening, select spots still available, and she's very knowledgable and a great person! Act soon!!

Beginning work on a CD project "Parallels" in the newly redesigned studio area at Pittsburgh Guitar Works & Music Academy. This will not affect lessons, other recording projects or interrupt regular business in any way, just a milestone as the first full CD project to be undertaken at the new facility!

Every month, our very own Suzy (finances, manager) makes a pick of the classiest, sexiest, most desirable guitar we have in stock... SO for July, 2012, for the first Suzy's pick - a modern Fender Telecaster in blue with a 50's vibe with the stock Bigsby tremolo. Very gorgeous and you have to see the birdseye maple neck to truly appreciate it's beaurty - dead mint condition!
