2016 GEC Pitch Night -- Nov 30 11/20/2016

Are you a student with an idea for the next big thing? A faculty, staff or post doc with research you are thinking of commercializing? Are you itching to meet people from other departments to see how you can apply your skills and creativity outside of the classroom or lab? Or maybe you just want to hear what great ideas your peers have dreamt up.

If you answered yes to any of these questions, Pitch Night is the event for you!

Sponsored by the Graduate Entrepreneurship Club and Project Olympus, Pitch Night aims to provide a forum where great ideas and great talent from all Grad programs come together
under one roof.

Pitch Night will start with networking time, allowing for participants to get to know each other and grab some food. Then, participants will have 2 minutes to pitch their
idea or company and take 2 min Q&A from the audience. Once all participants have presented, we will break back up into a networking session for participants to meet each other and take the next steps.

Come join us on at 6pm on Nov 30th at Project Olympus and let’s go make history! Sign up here!

Have an idea that could make a meaningful impact? The sponsors of this year’s UpPrize Challenge are seeking to fund and support product or service ideas in one of two key challenge areas: Impactful Technology and Healthy Food.

Who Can Apply?
Doers, makers, coders, tinkerers, researchers, hackers, designers are invited to submit ideas. Our team of researchers has worked with over 100 nonprofits to identify the areas in which innovation can make a measurable difference in improving the lives of our neighbors. Everyone is invited to submit a solution to either or both of the two UpPrize challenges. Nonprofits, start-ups, established firms, students and government agencies are eligible to apply.

How to Apply?
The submission process is easy. Let us know some basic information about your idea/product and upload a short video. Applicants have until November 30 to submit their solution.
