👀 What Nannies Do That Often Goes Unnoticed
Of course, families notice the big things — school drop-offs, pickups, meals, activities, homework, and keeping everyone safe and cared for.
But so much of a nanny’s impact happens in the little things.
It’s knowing which cup is the right cup.
It’s noticing when a child is having an off day before they can put it into words.
It’s remembering that a favorite stuffed animal needs to come along for the car ride.
It’s finding a new way to make an ordinary afternoon exciting.
It’s helping a child work through a tough moment with patience.
It’s celebrating the small victories that might otherwise go unnoticed.
It’s also the behind-the-scenes work: keeping routines on track, communicating with parents, planning ahead, remembering schedules, and anticipating what the children and family may need next.
These details may not always make it onto a to-do list, but they are a huge part of what makes a great nanny so valuable.
