🚌 Heads up, Bethel Park families!

Earlier today, we released bus pick-up and drop-off times for the 2026-27 school year. Unfortunately, we have identified a technical error that caused some incorrect information to go out.

We are working with our transportation scheduling provider to fix the issue and will share updated information as soon as it is available.

🚌 Bus schedules are here for the 2026-27 school year!

Log into your student's Focus account to view your family's assigned pick-up and drop-off times. Here's what you need to know before the first bell rings:

đź“‹ Schedules may change. Enrollments, withdrawals and other factors can affect bus times, so keep checking your schedule right up to the first day of school.

⏰ Arrive early. Plan to be at your bus stop at least 10 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time and anticipate delays and earlier than expected arrivals — especially in the early weeks — to help keep things running smoothly for everyone.

🛑 Safety first — always. Please remind your children to follow all bus stop and school bus safety protocols. Our students' safety is our top priority, always.

Bethel Park alumna Eva Blatz was named the Mid-American Conference’s Defensive Player of the Week.

The senior defender for Buffalo was a major factor on both ends of the field as she scored a goal and added an assist while helping the Bulls earn two straight shutout victories to open the season.

On Thursday, she scored the game-winning goal off a corner kick to lead UB to a 2-0 win over Niagara and she followed that up with an assist in a 2-0 road win at Mercyhurst on Sunday. The Bulls allowed eight total shots, and just three shots on goal, across the two contests.

Big talent comes in small packages, and Avery Chropka is proving exactly that! This rising sixth grader at IMS dominated the stage at the 2026 ID Dance Nationals.

Dancing for Ultimate Dance Complex, Avery walked away with the prestigious Junior National Title.

Not only did she capture the crown, but Avery also wowed the judges to become the Improvisation Winner and achieved the Highest scoring soloist age 15 and under.

Max Novak, grandson of WPIAL coaching legend George Novak, will make his debut as Bethel Park’s starting quarterback on Aug. 28 against Hempfield after sitting out most of the past two seasons due to injury and playing behind a standout senior quarterback.

Novak credits his grandfather—who won 306 games and six WPIAL titles while sending 11 players to the NFL—with instilling composure, patience, and the belief that character matters more than performance.

Beyond football, Novak maintains a 4.0 GPA with hopes of playing college football while pursuing sports medicine, ideally at Pitt.

Earlier this week, Andy Amrhein of Evey True Value Hardware, the oldest continuously owned Bethel Park business, led a special community tour for some of Bethel Park’s newest hires — giving them a firsthand feel for the district and its proud history!

From its humble beginnings as a coal mining town to the local landmarks and businesses that make it special today, Andy shared it all.

The roughly 90-minute tour included stops at well-known local businesses, historic elementary schools, and a drive through Bethel Park’s charming neighborhoods — with plenty of hometown facts and stories along the way.

What a wonderful way to welcome new team members and help them feel right at home in our community!

Bethel Park School District will welcome students for the first time in the 2026-27 school year on Thursday, Sept. 3, opening the new $133 million Bethel Park Elementary School at 5655 Kings School Road — a landmark facility that brings together 1,800 kindergarten through fifth grade students from five former elementary schools under one roof for the first time.

The district will host Open Houses at all three schools throughout September, culminating in a community-wide Ribbon-Cutting ceremony and Open House at Bethel Park Elementary School at 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19.

Bethel Park School District families are invited to attend a free virtual workshop on Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, featuring special education expert Catherine Hughes.

Hughes will guide parents and guardians on building a collaborative relationship with their child's school, covering topics including Individualized Education Programs in everyday practice, progress monitoring, accommodations and modifications, home-to-school communication, and parent rights and procedural safeguards. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions directly.

The workshop will be held live via Google Meet. To register, contact Vicki Donne at [email protected] or Deanna Hiltz at [email protected], or complete the online registration form. They will provide a Google Meet link after you register.
