Some people will tell you that you need to "let go" of your anger, and honestly, if you want to heal from what's causing that anger, it's terrible advice!

As if just simply letting go of your anger is that easy!

You have to sit with your anger, understand it, and process it in order to heal.

If you "let go" of your anger without doing that, what you're really doing is suppressing your anger, and that's not going to be good for you later on, because it will come back with a much greater ferocity.

You're allowed to feel angry because of what someone chose to do, or what they took away; it's a normal human emotion!

Don't allow anyone to belittle or invalidate your emotions and how you're feeling!

You don't need to feel guilty for experiencing a normal human emotion in response to someone's abnormal actions or behaviours!

You're allowed to feel anger in order to heal from it, it's just not somewhere that you want to live forever...
