Learn more about the fascinating world of mushrooms and fungi and meet other nature enthusiasts! Reserve your spot and/or grow kits at UpstreamPgh.org

We will be collaborating with Upstream Pgh for a guided exploration through Fern Hollow in Frick Park, after which we’ll reconvene to identify and discuss what we found.

Participants can choose to stick with the group for the hike (roughly 1 mile) or wander on their own path and bring their finds back to the group for identification and discussion.

Participants also have the option to reserve a home mushroom cultivation kit for $15. Pay upon pick up at the end of the event and choose between blue oyster and lions mane mushroom varieties.

The start and end point for this event will be the Biddle Avenue Parking Area of Frick Park, located at the intersection of Biddle Ave. & South Braddock Ave. By bus, this stop can be accessed on the 61A or 61B.

A truly beautiful day at the Pittsburgh County Fair! It was so amazing spending the day with my fellow farmers, neighbors, and like minded individuals. See you all next year ❤️🐝🌷🍄

Ahh! Such a fun start to fall mushroom hike series! We found Chickens, we found Beech, we found Oysters and all the fun surprises in between❤️ Thank you all that came, without your interest I can not do what I do. This year, we’re dedicating more time to exploring our local woods to find and identifying early late summer and early fall mushroom varieties.

Following the hike, we’ll return to 3ROC where we’ll learn about cultivating our own take home mini mushroom farms! Each participant will receive instructions for care and cultivation & can choose between a variety of mushroom types.

Never thought to pose with my mushrooms at a farmers market until on of my customers asked me to pose today lol. But you can’t catch me at Market Square on Thursday 10-2pm and Carnegie Farmers Market on Sundays 12-3pm ❤️🍄
