Dr. Mroziak is a Fulbright Specialist on AI and Emerging Technologies and has years of experience leading national and international dialogues on safe, ethical, and inclusive AI in education. He brings this expertise to guide you through a hands-on, intentional learning space.
In this playful, project-based professional learning experience, you will move past the AI hype and into active experimentation that will equip you with a better understanding of AI tools.
The "playing" is hands-on and purposeful:
👐 Hands-on Experimentation: You'll tinker with classroom-friendly AI tools like Google Teachable Machine and micro:bit CreateAI, learning by actually building simple AI models.
🛑 Guardrails and Use: The projects are grounded in the Digital Promises AI Literacy Framework, providing structured moments for reflection so you can think carefully about the ethical guardrails and how, when, and if to use AI in your curriculum.
⚠️ Safe, Intentional Space: The experience is anchored in play and care, cultivating a safe space for educators at any level of familiarity to explore thoughtful, creative engagement with AI.
Eligible educators will receive FREE professional development and a FREE Hardware Kit, including two micro:bits. Upon completion, participants also receive an AI literacy certificate from our friends at the Create Lab at Carnegie Mellon University.
