Hi everyone! Our team of Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology students at Pittsburg State University is developing a fully automated CNC manufacturing system for our 2025–26 capstone project.

This system integrates a Haas CNC machine, pneumatic fixture, and Haas collaborative robot (Cobot) to demonstrate how automation and human innovation work together in manufacturing operations. Our automated system will create custom aluminum coasters to hand out to prospective students at PSU open house events. The project will remain as a permanent resource for future students and help showcase the capabilities of Pitt State Engineering Technology.

We’re currently seeking support to fund materials, components, and tooling needed to complete the project.
Your contribution will directly help us bring this system to life and continue advancing hands-on learning at Pitt State.
