Brevard Academy: A Challenge Foundation Academy is a public charter school, charges no tuition, and is open to any child eligible for the public school systems of North Carolina and the immediately adjacent areas of South Carolina. BA-CFA is characterized by small classes and an excellent music and art program. Physical activity occurs on our picturesque Pisgah Forest campus and incorporates outdoor education knowledge and skills that will serve students well throughout their lifetimes. Brevard Academy: A Challenge Foundation Academy students live by an Honor Code that promotes consideration, integrity, positive spirit, and value of the individual. The curriculum develops enthusiasm for investigative learning, encourages students to produce original ideas, think creatively, and solve problems effectively. Brevard Academy: A Challenge Foundation Academy provides quality education to around 400 students each year and is always welcoming students through open enrollment and utilization of a waitlist. Additionally, the school provides bus service to multiple locations throughout Transylvania and Henderson counties. Parents play a major role in the educational experience at Brevard Academy: A Challenge Foundation Academy. They drive students on field trips and tutor students during the day and after school. They interact with students in booster groups, PTO family gatherings, classroom activities, and are invited to the many programs students perform throughout the year. Their support makes Brevard Academy: A Challenge Foundation Academy an impressive community of adults devoted to the academic and social success of students.
