Congratulations to Lehman students - Daria Lee, Kaden Lee, Donovan O'Leary, Hayden Sever, and Colleen O'Leary - for being recognized for their scholastic achievements at this year's Top 100 Scholastic Award Banquet hosted by the Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce.

Lehman Catholic senior, Colleen O'Leary (pictured) was the student guest speaker at the event and one of nine students recognized for earning this award for four consecutive years!

School Nurse Appreciation Day at Piqua Catholic was celebrated yesterday for our amazing school nurse. Nurse Therese, we love you and appreciate all you do for all of us! Happy School Nurse Day!

Piqua Catholic wishes our Volunteers a big "THANK YOU" for all that they do, not only for the students but also for our staff. They make our school run smoothly and do it with a smile. Several of them attended mass with us this morning, and then we served them breakfast in the school cafe. We are very blessed for their support!

Our 2nd graders wrote letters to their Senior penpals at Lehman Catholic High School this school year, and were invited to Lehman for fun, games and a picnic lunch outside. The kids loved writing to their penpals, and equally enjoyed reading the responses (especially when written in cursive)! They also enjoyed seeing what it meant to be a "big" Cavalier :)

What a day! The 2022 Walkathon was a blast and the weather was picture perfect!
Thank you so much to all of you who helped make this Walkathon one to remember and for all of you who donated, we thank you!
Our Walkathon assembly will be held next Tuesday, May 17th at 2:30pm when we will announce our raffle winner, but more importantly, we will issue our donation to Morgan’s Place Cemetery. Everyone is welcome to attend, so plan to come as we wrap up this year’s Walkathon!

Another Spring Concert is in the books and Piqua Catholic's music teacher, Rachel Thornsberry, knocked it out of the park! Our 5-8 grade students showcased their talents through singing, playing instruments, and a glow-in-the-dark drum session. Popular songs by Adele, StarWars, and several Christian music favorites, including the song "Oceans" by Hillsong UNITED as a final tribute and farewell to our 8th grade students. Congratulations to all of our students on a great performance!

What a blessing it was today! Following our all-school mass, our 2nd grader, Emily Verrill carried the crown that was placed upon the statue of our Blessed Mother Mary by 8th grader, Melanie Karn. All students showered her statue with beautiful flowers as they placed them at Her feet. What a wonderful celebration for our Mother Mary!

Monte Carlo Night 2022 was SO much fun! Thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday and celebrated with us at our annual event. We can’t wait to do it again next year! ♥️♠️♦️♣️

For the past 27 years the City of Piqua has participated in and has provided an opportunity to plant a tree to commemorate Arbor Day and this year the students at Piqua Catholic were able to be a part of this celebration!
Arborist Tree Care, the Interim-Mayor of Piqua, as well as the City of Piqua's Parks Department were able to donate a Lenten tree to be planted here at our school with Father Dan giving a blessing as the tree was planted by our Student Council Officers. What a blessing for this tree to be planted here at our school for us to enjoy for many years to come! Happy Arbor Day!

Congratulations to all of the 2022 National Junior Honor Society inductees! These new NJHS members were selected based on Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character and Citizenship, pledging to give their time, energy, loyalty, and purpose as well as to uphold their place in the National Junior Honor Society with honor and humility. Congratulations to all!

The 8th graders surprised their teacher, Mrs. Theresa Davis with a baby shower! Mrs. Davis will be on maternity leave the rest of this year, so the students threw a celebration for her with cupcakes, gifts, games and more! Congratulations, and God Bless to Mr. and Mrs. Davis!

Congratulations to Jr. Optimist President, Evan O’Leary on his recognition during the Jr. Optimist Luncheon. We also want to congratulate 7th grader, Olivia Hudgel on being presented the Jr. Optimist Youth Award! Congratulations to you both!

It started with an idea and grew into an actual food truck!
1st graders Ivy Underwood and Carter Woehrmyer along with their teachers were discussing how much it would take to run a food truck, so they decided to find out! With some creativity, some math skills, business discussions and a lot of help they brought it to life! They took orders, managed the money, prepared the food, and, best of all, had a whole lot of fun! Project-based learning at its finest!

Melissa Galbreath, as well as her son Andrew Galbreath came to Piqua Catholic last week to receive a check from our Student Council officers to help support Andrew and his team during the “Rally in the Valley” which helps raise funds and awareness for those with Down Syndrome.
